Description

Christopher Kelly died in 1852 at Forest Creek. Kelly's death was ruled to be 'justifiable homicide'. Kelly was shot while robbing a store belonging to Charles Hale. Angus MacDonald, who was minding the store at the time of the attempted robbery, shot Hale, using a gun in the store (on sale for 5 pounds) and loaded with duckshot.
