BENDIGO. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) 24th. October, 1853. BREAD—Notwithstanding that flour is lowering, bread is rising in price on the White Hills. The 4 lb. loaf is 3s. 6d. Verily these bakers have no conscience! Not content with foisting sour flour on the diggers, they must raise the price of bread, when the material of which it is made is lowering. If a new bakery establishment springs up on the White Hills, the public will know how to give the present bakers "a Roland for an Oliver." Argus, 27 October 1853
