Boulder, WA

The twin cities of Kalgoorlie and Boulder became the hub of the eastern goldfields of Western Australia. By the late nineteenth century, discoveries of gold in Australia had moved in an anti-clockwise direction from the eastern seaboard to other parts of the continent; the last significant finds of the century were made at Boulder and Kalgoorlie. Kalgoorlie-Boulder continues to be a key area of gold production in Australia, contributing considerable export income. It is also rich in mining heritage.
