Mount Pleasant, SA

Situated in the northern Adelaide Hills, it is probable Mt Pleasant took its name from Mrs Pleasant, the relative of an early settler. The town is situated approximately seventy kilometres from Adelaide. The area experienced an alluvial gold rush in 1868, however yields were small and the town soon settled down into a local service centre.
